Liverpool Clinical Laboratories (LCL) welcomed over 100 suppliers, partners and members of staff to the launch of its vision for the future. Held at the Liner Hotel in Liverpool on 20th March 2014, the conference discussed how LCL will function and develop in the health economy of 2014 and beyond.
During a morning which began with refreshments and networking, guests were invited to hear from the senior management team on the plans for LCL’s pathology services. Those attending were welcomed by Chief Operating Officer, Jane Mills; Associate Medical Director, Dr. James Anson; Clinical Directors Dr. Lisa Bailey, Dr. Pankaj Lal and Professor Tim Helliwell and Procurement Manager, Sue Colbeck. The speakers discussed how the vision, mission and values of LCL were created, what they mean for service delivery now, and how they will guide innovation in the future.
The event was also used to explore how LCL can work collaboratively, with suppliers and stakeholders, on research projects to fuel innovation and facilitate engagement with the scientific and medical communities, in addition to the general public.
