Angela Parker has been the Service Manager for the directorate of Infection and Immunity of Liverpool Clinical Laboratories since 2017.
Angela has a background in Pathology, starting her training at Aintree Microbiology in 2004, progressing to the role of Senior Biomedical Scientist in the department of Virology at the Royal Liverpool University Hospital in 2009. In 2015 Angela took on the role of Virology Service Manager. Her managerial role subsequently expanded to include the services of Immunology and Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics, and most recently Microbiology.
Angela has a wealth of experience managing a range of multi disciplines within Pathology, both technically and operationally. Angela’s passion lies with service development and improving quality across Pathology.
Outside of work, Angela has two sons, and enjoys nothing more than spending time with her family.
